MORESEKODE: Music to Their Ears -- in Eight Weeks

After many public relations successes for Morsekode over the years, one assignment had a particular sting: Capturing a legendary technology company's true essence in a small book to help it celebrate its 10th anniversary in roughly an eight-week period -- over the holidays!

But could it be done?!

Audio Technica's Microphone division commissioned "Experience More: A History of Audio Technica Microphones" to commemorate the Ohio-based division's landmark year as one of the audio giant's fastest growing entities of the Japanese-owned company.

Collaborating with the marketing head of the microphone business in Ohio and the creatives at Morsekode for art and graphics, Media Savant went to work, traveling first to New York to meet three gurus of Live Sound working on the live broadcast of CNN's Annual Heroes" show and to interview legendary record producer Phil Ramone (Sinatra, Pavarotti, Aretha, Dylan, et al) , a champion of the brand.

After many other phone and email interviews with business and audio experts inside Audio Technica, regular check ins with Marketing in Ohio, and sacrificed merry-making over the holidays, the 83-page soft cover book came together in record time -- but on time.

It colorfully and accurately explored the microphone division's main categories -- Installed Sound, Studio Sound, Live Sound and Broadcast Sound -- with enough fascinating detail for even a general reader to appreciate. But it also rendered the nuances of the business in a smart narrative that appealed to company technicians, sales and marketing teams, and ultimately the top leadership in Japan.

P.S. Media Savant has ghost written other books for clients -- and three of his own (SEE BIO).
